ILLI has arranged for group transportation for attendees from either the Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) or the Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) on November 6. The trip from Albuquerque is approximately 2 1/2 hours, and from Santa Fe is approximately 1 1/2 hours. The bus will leave the Albuquerque airport around 2 PM and depart the Santa Fe airport approximately 3:15 PM to arrive in Taos by 5:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Plan your travel accordingly. This is the only scheduled shuttle by ILLI. Any other transportation will be on your own.
The IC ends on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The shuttle will leave Taos at that time. Please plan your return trip to allow for the shuttle time to each airport.
Schedule of Events:
Thursday, November 6, 2025: 5:30-6:30 PM appetizers & cocktail hour, 6:30-8:00 PM dinner & introductions, 8:00-10:00 PM night site survey & lighting demonstrations.
Weather:
The IC is a hybrid mix of classroom and site work. Please check the weather prior to arrival and pack appropriately. Rain or shine, hot or cold, we will be outside during the days and evenings. Also note, Taos is approximately 7,000 feet of elevation. If you have previously experienced altitude sickness, please stay hydrated and rested. Avoid alcohol until you are acclimated to the elevation change.
Course Book:
The Landscape Lighting Book, 3rd Edition, by Janet Lennox Moyer available on Amazon. We recommend you review this text prior to your attendance at the IC.
Computers:
We recommend attendees bring a computer to the IC. Documentation is a key element of this class. This means utilizing digital photographs, drawings, Microsoft Office (such as Excel), and other software programs to complete the work. If you do not currently use any software, this will be covered in class. A computer is not mandatory for a successful experience at the IC.
